All casuals in my work place have been sent home mid shift with no more shifts for the foreseeable future.
The company will be using full time staff who are not trained in hospitality to pick up the slack left by removing casuals in order to keep the business from hemorrhaging money.
All events and functions have either been cancelled or moved forward in the year. So when everything blows over we’re going to need more staff than we have let go to handle the influx of business. None of which will have been trained as most employees will have moved on
